To me, each of the four season I experienced in Russia has some words to represent them

Winter : Gloomy, Dead, Moody, Cold, Sick, Snow

Spring : Good, Cool, Happy, Flowers, Pretty, Blossom, Sports

Summer : Exams, Focus, Hot , Green, Insects, Holiday, Joy, Suntan

Autumn : Golden, Brown, Rain, Sports

Day 5 Post Exam : Mamaev revisited

I believe this would be my last time visiting Mamaev Kurgan.

Let the pictures do the talking.

Day 4 post exams

Mm..

Exams felt like it was weeks ago, but its actually only 4 days and I am starting to get bored of life without aim. (i’ll soon get myself used to this eat-sleep-play theme)

Wawan, my friend from Indonesia had his sister coming over for his graduation.

So, I joined them for their city tour. Sometimes we see things differently as a tourist, compare to our busy-time-constrain-dont-give-a-damn-what-the-hell-that-building/statue-was. And true that was.

I found beautiful alleys and scenes which I never came across before. 🙂

Today was BBQ day.

Food , no complains. Awesome

Scenery , by the river. Perfect. (though there was a woman who was off the charts of obesity sunbathing )

Just that I was BBQed too!!! It was freaking burning hot during midday. Ugh! Now I have dual skin color tone.

Should I go topless next time instead? . Hehe 🙂

Last meeting

He is a highly respected person in our university.

He is a recipient of РАМН ( a highly coveted award in Russia)

He is the head of Pharmacology department

His build is as tall as his achievement.

He is also the dean of foreign students of our university.

He is СПАСОВ Александр Алексеевич or simply known as Spasov. Some call him Alex though. 🙂

Students fear him for his stern voice and authority .

I remember , he came to invigilate our Pediatrics exam during my 5th course and came to my table ( oh boy, I was nervous then). We were suppose to answer in Russian for this exam.

After some brief moments, he stood up and  tapped on my shoulder. “Be more confident” , he said.

Apart from me not gaining more confidence , I started to stutter. It was embarassing.

Today, we had our last meeting with him and Dmitry (the assistant dean).

After some talk about our exams and graduation , he mention this line ,

“университете только один раз в своей жизни, как первая любовь”

(One goes for university only once in their life, its like first love)

He meant one can go furthers into Masters and Phds, but the undergrad days are the best.

And for this once occasion. I saw him smile, like a real smile from his heart. I can see his happiness . Maybe he was thinking about his days as a student or he was happy for us. The bottom line is …..he SMILED!

Imagine his face when you wanted to get his signature, or when you had some problems, or missed class, or did some shitty things

This is the opposite clone!

And he really wanted to tell us that we wont get back our university life ever again. It would be  different from now onwards.

I cant agree more.

Done

Had a grueling time answering to 3 doctors of different field during my oral theory exam.

And passed.

Too tired to write anything interesting.

Will take some rest and tidy up my room.

-End of the Beginning-

19/6 : Ok, am having better mood today, so I think it would be nice to write down that day’s experience.

Went into the hall, grab a folder with questions inside.

Opened it to see ENT questions, (ohh nooo…)

Sat down in the middle of the hall , the scenario is stressful. The professors are in a “3 a team” groups, consisting of a Physician , Surgeon and a OnG all sitting on the side of the hall. There were quite alot of “teams” there. The “teams” were on the each corner of the hall.

The first few seconds, I cant really focus on my questions. I can hear a professor asking a question on 1 side , and another scolding the student on the other side. Eventually , I got over this and tried to finish my questions as soon as possible.

My turn came and I went to the “team”.

Questions came like flying arrows. I tried to catch up to their speed . I can answer some , but not all. I think I answered best for surgery and the Oncology doctor was quite happy with it. I remembered very well the abdominal aneurysm patient that I had a few months back.

ENT was a disaster.

I came out the exam hall with a aching head, but also a sigh of relieve.

At least it was over. (for now)
