Cut and see (II)

Once again , I went to the end of the world to attend another autopsy. I sharpened my knife which is my knowledge to better myself from the previous one

The van came to a halt just next to a grocery shop. It was raining that day, the road was dirty and wet. There wasn’t much activity along the street. A look to the left brought my sight to two rows of typical Russian flats.

We walk towards the building we intend to go. The tarred road ended abruptly to a narrow path which is surrounded by tall autumny-brown bushes. There wasn’t much noise , just the sound of the bush smashing into each other by the strong wind. Out of a sudden, the eeriness was broken by the roaring engine of an incoming train.

The path leads to a metal gate, which was lock all the time . We had to turn our body sideways to enter through an opening.

Upon entering the building, a few pairs of eyes stared at us, momentarily diverted their attention towards us. As they saw familiar faces , they resumed their work. There were clerks busy typing into the computer, a policeman holding a postmortem report, a guard staring outside the window and two person on the couch with solemn faces.

It was the administration room where relatives collect the last documents of their loved ones. It was also the same place where coffins , crosses , bouquets were displayed for sale.

We went to the changing room , got prepared and step into the autopsy hall.

This time, me and Theenesh were the ones playing the investigator to find the cause of death.

As he was left handed, the knife passed onto me most of the time.

Knowing what to expect, it went smoothly without much guidance. Uncertainty did crop out towards the abnormalities of the findings but a swift turn to the teacher provides ample answers.

I guess, with a will to try , given an opportunity and the enthusiasm to learn , even the toughest challenge could be overcome . When faced with obstacles, people should try to go around it, through it , underneath it , or even better over it. You don’t sit in front of it crying and moaning. The building blocks of fear and doubt could be turn into a stepping stone towards new heights.

Thats why they perform autopsies. They open the problem to find the answer . The solution is always there, its just a matter of fact how sharp is your knife.
